OutBoard Gay & Lesbian Snowboarders: www.outboard.org
OutBoard began seven years ago as a learn-to-snowboard event that was loosely affiliated with COSA - Colorado's gay and lesbian skiing group. Over the years it has grown to be probably the largest gay and lesbian snowboarding event in the world. But it is more than that, this web site is designed not just as a vehicle for registering for our events, but also as a way for you to find other boarders in your area to ride with. This year for the first time we are doing a variety of events including OutBoard (now scheduled for April 4 thru 7) as well as various learn-to-snowboard events, hooky days and weekend get aways. And of course, we will have day trips in Colorado throughout the season. About 35% of our 2000 members live in Colorado. And about 15% are women. We have members in 20 countries, 49 states and 10 provinces. We expect to radically increase non-Colorado membership as well as the size of the lesbian contingent in the coming months.
